This month, I am delighted to interview Karma Choden, founder of GreenCrafts Bhutan, an expert in artisan craft whom I connected with prior to my travels to Bhutan. Based in Thimphu, Karma is a remarkable resource on Bhutanese arts and crafts, with over 15 years of experience across civil society, government, and the United Nations. She has dedicated her career to merging cultural heritage with economic opportunity—particularly through sustainable textile development—and has played a crucial role in preserving and promoting rural Bhutanese craftsmanship.
