I'm just returning from Crete and am delighted to share insights from this recent sourcing trip. Greece has been a fascination for a while, perhaps since I moved to France about six years ago—it has a way of quickly transporting you, and each island feels like its own universe. Crete was an island I was curious about due to a connection I have on the island called Stema Journeys, connecting me to artisans throughout the island. From there, my interest peeked, and I thought, I need to go and see for myself. This island is one of the fifth largest, so I wasn't able to cover it all, but I made sure to include reputable names in this guide, which I both visited but wish I would have gotten to. If you go, please note that you need a lot of time - at least two weeks as everything seems to be at least an hour's drive.
