This month, my colleague Sayali Goyal of Cocoa & Jasmine has just returned from an incredible trip to Addis Ababa and the Omo Valley in Ethiopia, and was kind enough to share her experience with us.
She reflects on her journeys and observations, beginning in the capital, where traditional and modern crafts coexist fluidly, before traveling into more indigenous rural areas, where communities have been able to preserve their material identity without assimilation.
